About anji

A little about myself, my real estate background and family. I believe in treating my clients like family and all their transactions are important to me.

It is our pleasure to recommended Anji Lang as a real estate agent for anyone needing to buy or sell a home. When we needed to sell our home quickly to move into assisted living housing, Anji got the job done!

From her initial interview with us to the sale of our home, Anji worked hard to make us a priority. She is very talented technologically and made use of photography of the property and real estate databases to list our house quickly and to bring Realtors and buyers alike to get our house seen and sold in record time . She even managed to sell our house at an excellent price, especially in the current market situation.

We found Anji to be a highly attentive agent , getting everything done quickly and professionally. She was very proactive in getting our house liked quickly, arranging two open house events right away and arranging for other Realtors to view the property so that they would make their clients aware of a new house on the market. She is very personable and easy to work with. Anji was honest about pricing and her advice worked like a charm.

We are pleased to recommend Anji Lang to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. In our opinion, she is the best in the business if you are in need of a Realtor.

Her Real Estate Career

Anji began her real estate career in 2007 when she was asked to join a friend’s real estate business as his lone Associate Broker. He thought she would be the perfect person, up front, in the public eye while he ran the back end. He was doing an extensive job for the Albuquerque Police Department with his other line of work as a Software Developer and asked Anji to wait to take her real estate commission course when he gave her the word. Having heard that the testing for real estate was challenging, Anji decided to go ahead with the training in case it took her a few tries to pass the exam. Instead she passed with high marks the first time and called her friend to say she was ready.
He encouraged her to take another job until he was ready to devote all his time to Real Estate. Anji decided to place her license with Coldwell Banker Legacy, a company famous for their superior training program. Anji was incredibly impressed to find that each trainee of the program emerged knowing exactly how to succeed professionally from the get-go. She loved her new family at CBL and began to excel, winning several awards including Top 15% in Production of all brokers in the entire company in a short time. She worked at Coldwell Banker Legacy for five years. She was so appreciative that she did not end up going with her friend’s RE company after all.

Anji’s choice to move her license to Q Realty, Inc. was based on her respect of John Kynor, the Qualifying Broker and founder of “The Q”. Her experience under his past leadership as one of her Qualifying Brokers at Coldwell Banker Legacy was of total respect and awe of his extensive technology expertise, his tireless willingness to share and teach his brokers and his innovative ideas to service YOU, our customer.  She was was impressed and confident in John’s superior knowledge as a Qualifying Broker and as a leader. She is excited and proud to be part of this incredible team of Realtors and feels confident you will fall in love with your Realtor and the fabulous level of service from the Q Realty Team.

Growing up

Anji was born on Barksdale Air Force Base, LA. She is proud of her U.S. Air Force Pilot father, “Prate” or “Red” Prater and her Georgia bell mother, Matsie Hancock Prater. She moved to Albuquerque in the 60‘s when her father was stationed as Commander of Flight Test on Kirtland AFB. She was the youngest of three children and has never stopped moving since the day she could walk, according to her mother. Anji’s youngest memory is of holding on to the rails of her crib and bouncing her head against them until she bumped across the room to her sister’s bed where she could safely climb down.

Anji is a people person. Her smile is contagious! She began at an early age working as a lifeguard at KAFB Officer’s Club where she was a favorite choice for swim instructor. She received her Bachelor degree from the University of New Mexico where she mostly concentrated on Ski Team, Track Team and Springboard Diving Team for which she was offered a full scholarship. She helped pay her way through school by working as a veterinary assistant to Dr. Michael Rieger, DVM, life guarding and teaching swimming and diving lessons at UNM. She completed her degree by working at a 5-Star guest ranch in Granby, Colorado as children’s councilor where she was offered a full time job as director of the program. She served as a customer service agent for Trans World Airlines and was chosen top one of three agents to remain full time. She later attended the University of Phoenix to work on her MBA to prove to herself that she could do something besides “Play.” She finally received her first straight A’s report cards.

Wife & Mother

Anji and her wonderfully supportive husband, Ryan, live on their seven acres in Corrales, NM, a beautiful river town bordering Albuquerque. She is blessed to be married to her best friend and her very own web developer .
(See www.rynotecnologies.com). She often comments that she never would have made it in Real Estate if it were not for his expert knowledge of technology. He answers the phone when she calls with a smile in his voice and says, “Real Estate Support Services!”

Anji is the proud mother of four amazing children:
Her eldest son serves our Nation with the military special forces. He and his precious wife have two A-1 Adorable grandsons.
Her daughter and son-in-law have their own successful business where she is the CEO of their company and he is an inventor extraordinaire. They are expecting another fabulous grandson soon.
Her youngest son loves life in the fast lane racing motorcycles, jet skis and anything quick. He sells high line recreational sports machines.
Her youngest daughter is a physician in London loving on the elderly.
We are quite proud of our kids. They make us look good! Anji worked at home for many years to be around for her children.
They enjoyed hosting weddings, movies and events at her home in Corrales and running Executive Retreat NM, an off site meeting haven for small groups and executive boards. On the side, since her husband was busy with his business, Anji discovered she could drive the tractor and hay baler to cut their fields of hay for their horses. Her children recall that at first they did not have a hay rake, so Anji made a game out of who could run the fastest down the “wind rows” of hay to turn it with hockey sticks. She craftily invited all their friends over for slumber parties the night before picking up the hay bales.

Your Real Estate Agent for LIFE!!
As her four children became extremely self sufficient and she was not needed so much at home, Anji found a place to focus her energy and enthusiasm. Real Estate has been a perfect fit. She hopes that when you go to select your personal real estate professional you will give her a call. She is confident that once you see her extraordinary level of service and passion to sell your home for the best price possible and help you discover your next wonderful residence that you will be delighted that you took the time to let her present her strategy. Remember, she specializes in YOU! Other Interests
Anji loves a challenge. Whether it was scaling Gannett Peak, Wyoming’s highest, with an ice pick and crampons, competing and winning the saddle at the Big Daddy of them all in the Cheyenne Rodeo, Downhill Ski racing with the prestigious UNM’s ski team (in her younger days), challenging her husband in a round of golf or negotiating for her Real Estate clients, Anji gives it her all. She knows some day, (maybe in her 100’s as she is expecting YOU to drive HER on home tours when she reaches her 90’s), she may sit down by the fire to enjoy a good book or maybe she’ll write her own.
